The best way is by public transport. Dublin Bus has kindly sponsored a free shuttle bus service, which will run from the bus stop opposite the main entrance to the Phoenix Park at Parkgate Street to the main entrance into Farmleigh Estate. This service will run approximately every 30 minutes between 11am and 6pm.

The following public transport links will drop you close to the main entrance of the Phoenix Park, where you can avail of this free bus:

  • The LUAS red line stop at Heuston Station is one minute walk from Parkgate Street.
  • Buses: 2526, 66 and 67 drop off at Parkgate Street.

Other public transport options which will drop you close to Farmleigh include:

  • Trains serving Coolmine, Castleknock, Ashtown and Dunboyne stop at the Ashtown and Phoenix Park Train Station, which is short walk from Farmleigh.
  • Buses: 37, 38, 39, 70 drop off at Ashtown Gate.
  • Bus: 46A drops off at Infirmary Road.

Finally, there will be limited free parking available to the public in the public car park in Farmleigh, but this will be on a first come, first served basis and will fill up early. The public car park can be accessed through the main gate to Farmleigh off Chesterfield Avenue, which is the main road through the Phoenix Park.

See you there! 🙂
